I was this close to an albino python. Went to Crocolandia in Talisay, Cebu and got the chance to hold a snake. Was scared but glad that I was able to take a good picture of this reptile.

He kept looking at me too. hehe.
Here’s a write-up about the close-encounter with this albino python.

Special thanks to Crocolandia, EJ and the Cebu Normal Univeristy Bio students for the experience.

The posts that I usually put in these blogs are snaps of different things that I find interesting. I don’t really do a lot of editing or art work here as I only do minimal adjustments on brightness and sharpness of the pictures that I take.

However, this time would be different as I’m posting concepts. Maybe I’ll just do this from now on and not limit myself anymore. We’ll see. I like to associate myself with media and communication and I guess advertising is also part of it. Anyway, I like to create art.

The snap was taken when we were heading home to Cebu from Malapascua. We were inside a shed while fetching some bottled water to cool us off from the heat. The bus reminds me of Bumble Bee from Transformers.

Been awhile since I last updated. I haven’t been able to post as much pictures as needed. I’m really busy with what’s happening nowadays.

I’m posting a picture of a flower I took when we were about to go home from Malapascua back to mainland Cebu.

Malapascua Island
North of Cebu, Philippines

There’s something about how calm and homey Malapascua felt. I’ve been to a number of beaches elsewhere but somehow, it felt like this was ‘my place’.

Anyway, took  a shot at the sun and played with some of the settings of my camera after I researched on how to capture the sunrise. Forgot the settings again but this time, I’m glad I was able to get a snap at the circle.

Maribago Bluewater Resort
Mactan, Cebu

November 15, 2009

Had a good time at Maribago Bluewater Resort with other bloggers on a Sunday when everyone else was watching the fight between Pacquiao and Cotto. It was one hot day at the beach that it was really a good time to cool off and dip in the water. I still have to create an entry out of this, it’s just that I had to post the pictures of the Maribago Bluewater Resort for other blogger friends to see and grab. hehe.

It was Doi’s post-birthday treat and we ate at La Maison at The Terraces in Ayala, Cebu. I got my camera back and being the trigger-happy person that I am, I snapped away.

A candle from a complimentary cake that the store provided.

got my camera back!

Posted on October 30th, 2009 by Ed Snaps  |  1 Comment »

and I’ m glad.

Today I felt a sense of relief to get my camera, my DSLR, my Nikon D80 back from the repair shop after almost two months!

I had my camera repaired because of problems after I used my camera at the beach. Somehow, it wouldn’t take any picture but the shutter would still function. I was really upset to realize that my camera was broken and it hasn’t even reached a year of use!

I felt weak in most point especially when I would have to go to events since I couldn’t capture the moment. Although it’s also good since I’m able to focus myself on other things such as maximizing my blog to earn more money and such, I still wanted to get my camera as soon as possible.

I had the camera repaired at Camera Care in Cebu. The repair man told me that I could get it back after two weeks. But then after how many follow-ups, it went up to two months. Right now, I’m really just happy that I got it back. It cost me an arm too. darn it.

I was planning to sent it to Manila to have it serviced in the Nikon Service Center, I don’t know why Nikon still hasn’t set up a service center here in Cebu. Anyway, when I called them up, they told me that it wasn’t covered with warranty even if I had the warranty slip since it was purchased in the black market. Sigh. To think that I had the official international warranty with me, they told me that the warranty was only good outside the Philippines (which explains the international tag, duh!).

Anyway, the good thing is that I got it back and it has two months warranty from the local repair shop (Camera Care). What’s up with the number 2? hehe.

Now I’m ready to snap away… only I have to get used to the camera again. My skills have somewhat decayed due to its absence. Sheesh.
