I attended a wedding of a colleague. Instead of being part of the groomsmen, I was more participative being a trying-hard photographer, hehe. I will be posting more pictures of the actual wedding once I can get my act straightened out. Anyway, here’s a candle, flowers and a vase that I took at the reception while waiting for dinner.

I was just working on some tasks one afternoon in Cafe Noriter in Dumaguete when I received a plurk message from one of my friends way back in high school.
Nicole: Ey Ed, let’s go around town and have a photoshoot. I want to change my blog header and plurk layout. I shoot you, you shoot me. At least you brought your DSLR.
Honestly, I was still busy with work but then I figured I could skip some time and try to get this opportunity to also practice my shots. Also, rarely have I heard Nuke (Nicole) to tell me to take pictures of her and I was really surprised at her pro-activeness of offering to be captured.
So went to the Boulevard in Dumaguete and proceeded to the Silliman ballfield/park or whatever you call it. People were really staring at us but we she didn’t care much. At least I’m not living there anymore. hehe.

It was Doi’s post-birthday treat and we ate at La Maison at The Terraces in Ayala, Cebu. I got my camera back and being the trigger-happy person that I am, I snapped away.
A candle from a complimentary cake that the store provided.

and I’ m glad.
Today I felt a sense of relief to get my camera, my DSLR, my Nikon D80 back from the repair shop after almost two months!
I had my camera repaired because of problems after I used my camera at the beach. Somehow, it wouldn’t take any picture but the shutter would still function. I was really upset to realize that my camera was broken and it hasn’t even reached a year of use!
I felt weak in most point especially when I would have to go to events since I couldn’t capture the moment. Although it’s also good since I’m able to focus myself on other things such as maximizing my blog to earn more money and such, I still wanted to get my camera as soon as possible.
I had the camera repaired at Camera Care in Cebu. The repair man told me that I could get it back after two weeks. But then after how many follow-ups, it went up to two months. Right now, I’m really just happy that I got it back. It cost me an arm too. darn it.
I was planning to sent it to Manila to have it serviced in the Nikon Service Center, I don’t know why Nikon still hasn’t set up a service center here in Cebu. Anyway, when I called them up, they told me that it wasn’t covered with warranty even if I had the warranty slip since it was purchased in the black market. Sigh. To think that I had the official international warranty with me, they told me that the warranty was only good outside the Philippines (which explains the international tag, duh!).
Anyway, the good thing is that I got it back and it has two months warranty from the local repair shop (Camera Care). What’s up with the number 2? hehe.
Now I’m ready to snap away… only I have to get used to the camera again. My skills have somewhat decayed due to its absence. Sheesh.

I’m still waiting for my camera to get fixed. It’s still with the local technician and it has been with them for over a month already. I don’t think I’ll recognize my camera if I see it again –> too much exaggeration.
But I hope that all will be well. I don’t like it when I’m not able to utilize and maximize my snapping capabilities.
