Davao Durian Monument

Some time in March 2009, we went to Davao, our home town because it was my younger brother’s graduation and we wanted to visit the place for it’s been a terrible while since we last visited the Land of Promise or in our case, the Durian city. After 10 years, 10 effin’ years, we were able to go back to the place where we grew up. A lot has already changed, our old house now is replaced with a commercial building. Anyway, before I go all historical here, here’s a picture of the Davao Durian Monument which is pretty much noticeable when you go out of the Davao International Airport.

Durian has been the most beloved fruit of Davaoeños and Davao city has been known to produce this fruit. I love durian but the reactions of people are actually in extremes. Either you hate it or love it because of its smell. In any case, there are durians now that are not that smelly anymore.

Here are the rest of my blog entry pictures of the place I still call home.

Davao Day 1: Going There

Davao Day 2: BlueJaz Resort

Davao Day 3: Going Home

 I miss eating durian though.
