Picasa collage

Posted on June 27th, 2009 by Ed Snaps  |  7 Comments »

For now, I only have two photo editing softwares installed in my laptop. One is Photoscape and the other is Picasa. I have to blog about Photoscape later on but I’m just glad that Nizza informed me about the benefits of Picasa as I’ve always wanted to create a collage of pictures and I was really having difficulty looking for a program that would be easy to use –> I’m not fluent with Photoshop. This is what I plan to use most of the time in this application.

A screenshot of my screen. I want to get more pictures but I’m a bit too tired to even think which ones I’m going to edit. I’m just glad to finally get the Picasa software in my laptop. Thanks nizza!

Just came from the Caramoan islands and now I want to post more pictures in this site but as usual, I don’t have the time and I presume that I don’t have the time. haha. CamSur was such a blast, I’m still on a hight from the activities that we had plus the tan.

travelling again

I’m going out again. I’m crossing my fingers that my trip to Caramoan will push through and the weather will be fine. I know I haven’t really posted much in this site especially when it’s supposed to be my space to paste all the pictures that I have in my hard drive. My mind is too preoccupied right now with school supposed to be ongoing and I haven’t even enrolled (or decided to enroll). Oh well, this will be another trip to see the islands of the country. Hope I can really enjoy this one despite having a tight budget.

Camsur, wake me!

excuses

Got home already and as usual I’m still pooped and tired. I’m trying to upload the pictures but it seems that I’m having a hard time sorting them out. I’ve been looking for a way to organize my pictures but I’m having difficulty with the many activities lined up in my head.

I still have to work out a lot of things such as going back to school and even having my laptop repaired. Anyway, I know I should be uploading more pictures now. I don’t have any other valid excuse not to.

still in Manila

Last day in Manila, I’ll be going to Enchanted Kingdom to experience my childhood dream of being able to enjoy rides in a theme park. Will be posting pictures soon. I should be updating this site but I’m a bit busy (excuses again).

ed is a snapper at heart

I take pictures without much consideration. Taking multiple shots at a single frame and choosing which one is the best is actually how I am able to take decent photos to show to other people.

For now, I’m trying to find more time and more desire to learn skills that aren’t really honed properly due to laziness.

Still, I just want to be let free and snap as much as I can without much thought.

Photobucket

Will learn more.

realization

I’ve been tweaking my DSLR but not as much as needed so my skills haven’t really improved as much. I wish to study this one but it seems that I always have an excuse in doing other things. However, I’ve come to a realization that it doesn’t really matter if you have a point-and-shoot camera when you know how to adjust the settings.

Having a DSLR is a bit more complicated because you have to understand the settings according to how you can maximize the shot. However, the issue sometimes is to be able to capture that perfect shot. When you are in that perfect moment, you don’t want to screw the picture that’s why you have to make sure that the settings are in the proper place and that’s the challenge I’m still having.

That’s why when people see that I have a DSLR with me, I always inform them that I’m still studying it and I’m still a novice because I don’t want to give the impression that I’m an expert in this field.

Most people think that having a professional camera will produce good pictures. Although it’s somewhat true because the quality is really different because of having more room for tweaking, it’s still within the one who handles the camera. Right now, I still have better pictures using my old Olympus SW790 camera but that’s because I haven’t learned as much as I need to using my Nikon D80.

Just a thought.
