football ball

Went out and covered a football tournament of the company where I’m working. It was nice because we got invited to take some snaps. Was never never good at capturing sports but it did give me some time to practice. I wish I had a better lens but I guess it’s always within the snapper and a lot of luck when taking shots.

Just shot a ball at rest instead. If only I knew how to play the game. Hmmm.

Football Ball. Some call it soccer. whatever.

renewed edsnaps.com

Posted on February 25th, 2010 by Ed Snaps  |  No Comments »

I figured I’d renew this site despite its inactivity. I’ve already earned some income even if all I post here are pictures. I was able to bring back the amount that I invested that’s why it shouldn’t be that much of a problem considering that I’ve gained something out of this.

For now, I’m still pretty much busy with a lot of stuff online and offline that’s why it’s pretty lame of me to miss out on updating this blog.

I’ve so many pictures on my hard drive and I don’t even have that much time to update. Sigh. Till the next blog entry.

Took pictures of a colleague’s family one Sunday and had a bit of a time with their children. I like taking pictures of children in their candid moments. I think it’s because of their innocence of the world around them; life is just one play pen.

Been awhile since I last updated. I haven’t been able to post as much pictures as needed. I’m really busy with what’s happening nowadays.

I’m posting a picture of a flower I took when we were about to go home from Malapascua back to mainland Cebu.

malapascua sunrise

Malapascua Island
North of Cebu, Philippines

There’s something about how calm and homey Malapascua felt. I’ve been to a number of beaches elsewhere but somehow, it felt like this was ‘my place’.

Anyway, took  a shot at the sun and played with some of the settings of my camera after I researched on how to capture the sunrise. Forgot the settings again but this time, I’m glad I was able to get a snap at the circle.

morning sky

I woke up hoping it would still be 3 am since I needed to work on a number of tasks online. I checked my phone and was upset to find out that it was already past five which made me wonder who created the snooze button because it’s one of the worst features an alarm clock has.

I got out of bed and onto the couch and brought out my laptop and started working. Then I saw some orange beams seeping through the window jalousies in my room. It was the sky and the sun starting to rise. My temper cleared up in an instant and I decided to take out my camera to snap.

I knew this was going to be start of a good day.

full moon

It’s the full moon and moments like this I wish I had a better set of lens compared to the kit that came with my Nikon D80 camera. I currently have an 18-55mm lens and if it weren’t for my camera being broken, I would’ve been able to save enough to get at least another set to help me out.

Anyway, it was the full moon and Doi wanted me to take some shots at the sky but I was hesitant since I thought I just needed a longer lens to capture the celestial body. But then I wanted to see if I can really take a snap at it. I searched for some forums online on how to tweak the settings of my camera in order to maximize the shot. I came across the thread here and configured the camera to its highest Megapixel and then modified some more settings.

With just some minor post-processing, this is what I came up with. Yeah, I know it’s small, but it’s better than none at all.
